Benson a no-show for Bears workouts

Although Cedric Benson was not required to appear at a Monday court date related to his May 3 arrest, he was expected to join his Bears teammates for the start of organized team activities. But Benson was missing in action.

According to a teammate, Benson was nowhere in sight as the Bears began the voluntary OTAs. Adrian Peterson got the reps as the first-team running back with Benson gone. It's unclear whether Benson will rejoin the team Tuesday. Linebacker Brian Urlacher also skipped the session because of his contract dispute with the club. Continue
