Jack Del Rio Contract Infomation Released:

I speculated that Jack Del Rio would get between 4.5 and 4.8 million dollars per season.  It turns out that I was way wrong.  Jack Del Rio's new contract, according to Gene Frenette of the Florida Times-Union will average over five million dollars per year.  That's Super Bowl winning coach Tom Coughlin money.  That's a statement about where Wayne Weaver expects this team to go.

Wow.

He will receive the 3.8 million this coming season as was negotiated two years ago.  After that it's four years and a little over 20 million.

Wow.

Go Jack, I'm sure you're having an extra happy birthday.

As for me, I'll be returning to my roots this weekend on a surprise trip to Jacksonville and Central Florida for a bit of a job hunt.  (If anyone needs a net-savy employee, email me!).  I'll be posting, but doing so on the road, so bear with me!

Also, my first article for New Era Scouting is up.  You can read it here.
